Inside the drill our trainers use in the first two weeks of every spoken English batch.
Every batch starts with the same four step drill, and it is the reason students begin speaking within a week.
1. Think and write
Students write five sentences about a simple question before anyone speaks.
2. Read out loud
Reading aloud removes the fear of wrong sentences. Accuracy first, then speed.
3. Pair practice
Students discuss the same question in pairs. Mistakes are corrected after the discussion, not during it.
4. Stage report
Two or three students report back to the class. Repetition in public is what builds fluency.
By the third session the hesitation is mostly gone - not because the student became smarter, but because speaking stopped being scary.
